Last updated: 3 November 2026

These terms explain how ordering, payment, delivery and returns work at Eaten Black.

1. Who we are

Eaten Black is run by [Dimpho's full name], a registered supplier (registration no. [registration number]). When we say "we", that means Dimpho.

2. Placing an order

When you send an order on this website, you are asking us to supply it. It only becomes an order once we confirm it with you on WhatsApp. We may need to change or decline a request, for example if something is out of stock or the address is outside our delivery areas. If an item is out of stock, we may offer a similar one of the same or better value, and we will check with you first.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are in rand. [VAT wording] The price we confirm with you is the price you pay. If we spot an obvious price mistake, we will tell you before confirming. Any delivery fee is extra and is confirmed with you first. You can pay on delivery, or by EFT or another method we agree with you on WhatsApp.

4. Delivery

Delivery is free on Fridays to Johannesburg CBD and Hatfield, Pretoria. We can also deliver on other delivery days. The fee is R50 to R100 in Johannesburg, depending on your location, and R120 in Pretoria. We will confirm the exact fee with you on WhatsApp before we deliver, and you only pay it if you agree. Please give us the correct address and be reachable on the day. If we cannot reach you, we will try to arrange another time. Delivery times are estimates.

5. Cancelling, returns and refunds

6. Allergens and product information

We sell well-known brands. Their products may contain or be made near allergens such as gluten, milk, soy, peanuts and tree nuts. Please read the label on each pack and check the best-before date. The label is the final word on ingredients.

7. Our responsibility

We will do our best to get your order to you correct and on time. We cannot be responsible for things outside our control, such as website downtime or delays on the road. This does not limit any rights you have under South African law.

8. Your information

See our Privacy Policy to find out how we look after your personal information.

9. Complaints and changes

If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we will try to put it right. If we cannot agree, you can contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission. These terms follow South African law. We may update them from time to time, and the version in force on the day you order applies to your order.
